Strategies For Driving Traffic:

#1. Add Social Sharing Icons

Another strategy to driving more traffic to my site is encouraging visitors to share my post through social media. Make sure to add a sharing tool plugin in your site. I personally use Shareaholic Plugin.

The plugin lets you easily add sharing buttons to your WordPress site and track sharing activities from social media networks. The social sharing icons should be place on the home page, sidebar, or after each post. Make sure to give your readers a simple way to share your website within their own networks.  If your reader’s start sharing your post this strategy will help you gain new visitors.

# 2 Use Data Collection To Analyze Your Site

Data collection is a great way to analyze your site performance and the growth rate of engagement. I use Google Analytics to track and collect detailed statistics about your website traffic, social networking sites, and much more.

Google analytics is a free tool that when use right can help you determine which social media network are more effecting by generating traffic to your website.

#3 Fill Out Your Social Media Profile

A major mistake many people do when signing up for social media is not taking the time to fill out their profile. It only takes a few minutes to fill out the bio, add a picture, and lastly add your URL of your website. Taking the time out to fill out the bio will help you get others interested in you.  I personally do not follow or bother with anyone that does not fill out his or her bio.

Hi Nancy. Another tactic I have found really powerful is to engage in conversations as much as possible. This gets you far more clicks, shares etc. The person you are talking to instantly feels more comfortable with, but so do others that are watching. I get way more traffic now I do this. It’s called social networking, so get social!
